About Tops China

Located at 3136 E M.L.K. Jr Dr #110, High Point, NC 27260, Tops China operates as a chinese restaurant serving High Point in North Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as fast food restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in High Point; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in North Carolina are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 am–10 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (336) 454-0077. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, topschinahighpoint.com.

Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 611 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded chinese restaurants in High Point.

High Point is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around High Point is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Overall Score: 8.1/10 Definitely a takeout-focused spot with a big menu and strong North Chinese food vibes. Tastes like classic Boston and New York–style Chinese, which is hard to find. Everything was really good, portions were filling, and the value was excellent. In Boston, they may be an average spot but down south, this is great. Chicken fingers 8.5/10 Crispy and flavorful, exactly what you want from classic North Chinese–style chicken fingers. Super satisfying. Boneless spare ribs 8.7/10 Very good flavor and cooked right. Sweet, tender, and a generous portion. Beef teriyaki 6.6/10 Tasted just like the North-style version you hope for. Solid seasoning and great value for the amount. I think it needs more sauce though.

The service is good, quick and simple. But the food is sometimes burnt and the inside of the restaurant is basically falling apart.

The portions are very good and the food tasty. The price of the lunch special was a great value. However, the two very small broccoli stalks accompanying my General Tso chicken were disappointing. My pickup order was ready on time and hot. The location is not ideal since you can't see the store front from the busy street. Security must be an issue because the service counter is encased in plexiglass more robust than most banks.

amazing food and amazing service! stopped by on a small roadtrip and very glad we did. place is definitely more for just carrying out the food but it’s definitely worth it. there is a constant stream of people coming in to order or pick up food so that speaks to how good the food it.

I've never had a bad experience here. Portions side are great. This was 11 and some odd cents. I didnt see a beef and broccoli one so here you go! The beef is tender and the broccoli has just enough crunch. Comes with pork fries rice m, but I chose white. Enjoy!
